‘Between Days: The Night Shift’ is a book about people who work at night. It investigates the night shift through song lyrics, articles and interviews.
An ‘artificial’ neon yellow highlight colour is used to reflect the ‘unnatural’ sleeping rhythms night workers adopt and also relates to the hi-vis jackets often worn by night workers to improve their ‘visibility’. On pages 7-12 the reader can’t get to the end of each line in the article without the words falling away from them.
